Nowadays, we all have to deal with change faster than ever before. Accelerating technology shifts, pandemics, climate change, and ever more competitive market conditions allow only those companies to thrive that can adapt quickly to meet the challenges.
Redesigning business processes and adopting new technologies are key to help run your business in a more agile way and stay on top in your industry.

To support you throughout the transformation process, SAP designed RISE with SAP.

Characteristics of the course

This is a 6 hours course, over 3 weeks. But since this is self-paced, you can go over the material any time.

The target audience is quite wide : anyone interested in cloud transformation projects and ‘RISE with SAP’. As such, there are no prerequisites to be able to understand the material.

What is this about ?

The course is supposed to be about ‘RISE’, a new subscription service from SAP, that combines a set of services and product offerings. However, participants will learn a lot about S/4HANA implementations. This course is highly recommended to people that will lead or participate in an SAP S/4HANA project.

Key Learnings and content structure

Part 1: Start Your Business Transformation to the Cloud

Part 1 familiarizes you with the elements and the overall concept, followed by a detailed overview on business process intelligence (BPI) – a holistic approach to describe and measure your business’ transformation. Main subjects:

• Transforming your business is key: Trends for ERPs accelerated by the digital transformation and typical challenges in the digital transformed economy.

• Ingredients of the transformation journey: What SAP customers should focus on to transform, the key paradigms for the transformation journey towards the Intelligent Enterprise, and the 10 key principles of RISE with SAP.

• Leveraging business process intelligence to transform your business: Starting point for your RISE with SAP journey and examples of corporate initiatives in the context of process excellence.

• Intelligent business processes in action: The Integrated Business Transformation Suite and how the SAP Process Manager component by Signavio helps you capture, document and improve your processes.

• Understanding your processes and making them smarter: SAP Process Insights, Process Discovery : finding the right SAP S/4HANA capabilities for you, and the potential benefits of these capabilities.

• Extending business processes with SAP Business Technology Platform: The key elements of SAP BTP, the in-app extensibility options, and the main benefits of SAP Extension Suite.

Things you should focus on for the first assignment: The key benefits of strong business networks (this has nothing to do with employee satisfaction), X-DATA, Capabilities of SAP BTP and SAP Extension Suite, Business Process Intelligence (BPI) in the context of RISE with SAP, Initiatives that can drive a company to changes, Capabilities and impacts of the Signavio acquisition (Process Mining and Experience Data during the Analyze process phase), SAP Process Insights, SAP BTP Process Catalog.

Part 2: Perform Your Technical Transformation

Part 2 takes you on the technical transformation journey, showcasing the different directions and practical suggestions for your landscape transformation. Main subjects:

• The toolbox for your technical migration: SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, key elements of a conversion to SAP S/4HANA, technical key decision factors for a company’s transition to SAP S/4HANA.

• Preparing your technical transformation: Greenfield implementations versus System conversions, transaction scenario-ideoendent considerations from a functional perspective.

• Success factors for an effective transformation: Benefits of SAP Activate and key values of leveraging the enterprise management layer as an implementation accelerator.

Things you should focus on for the second assignment: At the end of which phase you’ll be able to decide between a system conversion and a new implementation, technical migration tools embedded in RISE with SAP, typical starting points for the transition to S/4HANA, general decision’s factors, migration project challenges, SAP Activate methodology…

Part 3: Build the Intelligent Enterprise

Part 3 centers around the concept of the Intelligent Enterprise and highlight how business networks in particular help to make your company more resilient and agile. Main subjects:

• The ingredients of your process intelligence: Areas covered by SAP BTP

• Business process intelligence at work: Value propositions of SAP’s enterprise Artificial Intelligence, factors of enterprise-ready AI

• Optimizing your supply chain with SAP Business Network: Definition of the center of the SAP Business Network and significant business outcomes on the asset management side.

Things you should focus on for the third assignment: Key benefits of SAP Cash Application, Qualities of SAP AI technology, Technical SAP platforms for running the Artificial Intelligence workloads, value propositions of SAP’s enterprise Artificial Intelligence, SAP Business Network components, and significant busines outcomes of the Supplier Network

Part 4: Final Exam

25 questions over 2 hours. Things you should be familiar with:
